We had thought that the film festival cycle was over for “A Sea Change”. But a few months ago, we learned that we had been accepted into the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival in Nevada City, California (the center of the Gold Rush in the 1850’s) and the Sonoma Film Festival.
We arrived in Nevada City today and were fascinated with the history of this small town perched in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, not too many miles west from where the Donner Party experienced their tragic winter of 1846-1847. We are delighted to be here and were greeted graciously by our hosts when checking in this morning. We have two screenings at the Wild and Scenic and the town seems to be filling up with film enthusiasts for the weekend. We will report more on this and the Sonoma festival in the days ahead.
